About Sahaf

Sahaf is an imaginary online bookshop that sells classics in its own cover series. As a portfolio project it shows the full flow of a real e-commerce site: catalogue, cart, payment, order tracking and an admin panel.

How to try the demo

Create an account, confirm your e-mail and add books to your cart. Payments run in Stripe test mode; no money leaves your card.

• Use any future date as the expiry date and any three digits as the CVC.
• The site runs on a free server; if nobody has used it for a while, the first page can take about half a minute to load.

Sahaf Classics

Every work in the catalogue is a public-domain classic. The covers are drawn automatically from the book details, so each book has its own colours and pattern.

Technology

ASP.NET Core MVC, Entity Framework Core, PostgreSQL, ASP.NET Core Identity, Stripe Checkout and Resend. The source code is open on GitHub.

Privacy

Only what an account and an order need (name, e-mail, delivery address) is stored. Card details never reach this site; Stripe handles them directly. You can delete your account from the profile page.
